MARK CLARK
PRESIDENT
Mark is celebrating over 20 years of ownership of Courtesy Aircraft Sales,
having purchased the company from his father in 1983. Mark is an accomplished pilot with
FAA authorization to fly virtually any type of high performance ex-military aircraft. As
an A&P Mechanic, Mark offers his customers the knowledge and expertise of aircraft
condition gained from hands on experience. Mark has been featured in many aviation trade
publications and graced various covers numerous times.
Mark received his pilots license while in high school and sold his first
warbird when he was only 18. Mark explains, " I just took to it. What kid
wouldn't? Plus we had a friend who was an EAA Director. I was in heaven when my mom would
drop me off at the EAA fly-in when they were still being held in Rockford. When I was 12,
someone was giving rides in a Mustang for a dollar a minute, and I managed to buy about 35
minutes worth. I have proudly sold that same Mustang twice since then."
Mark, born and raised in Rockford, IL received his Marketing Degree from Bradley
University. Mark lives in Rockford with his wife Carol. They have two grown children, a
son who lives in Chicago and a daughter who lives in Michigan.
