RESTORATION DETAILS:
The previous owner, a meticulous craftsman, spent 7,000 man hours over 10 years completely tearing down,
overhauling and restoring this high powered Stearman to “Best of Show” quality. 

Aircraft was completely disassembled and rebuilt to “new” standards. All metal stripped, bead blasted, primed, painted and oiled (as required). Stits “2+2” fabric with 7 coats of silver undercoat and 3-5 coats of Coca-Cola red topcoat with extensive sanding between coats giving a mirror finish. 

All components are new or overhauled. Fourteen 337’s incorporated. Complete firewall forward overhaul with Cermichrome cylinders, new engine mount, Beech 18 style speed cowing, “Island 450” polished ring. New firesleeved Teflon fuel lines, induction and carburetor air systems.

Instrument panel immaculate with all new or overhauled instruments, with new switches and markings. Upgraded systems for safety such as modern instruments where necessary.
