HISTORY OF AIRCRAFT:
Built in 1945 by North American in
Inglewood, CA. During World War II, 44-72826 was assigned to the 479th Fighter Group, 434th Fighter Squadron, Eighth Air Force. It was coded: L2-G with this unit. On May 1, 1945, 44-72826 suffered a landing accident at Wattisham, England, Station 377, while being piloted by Joseph L. White, Jr.

It last saw military service as RCAF #9563 of the No. 402 "City of Winnipeg" Sqdn. It was coded AC-U with this unit. Used by RCAF from 1947-1960. Civilian 1962 to present.

Very complete aircraft overhaul in mid 1970's and again in 1985. New hoses, control cables, etc.
