Restoration Details

3/6/90           Total Time in Service: 3303.0 Hrs

Aircraft disassembled stripped, etched alodined and painted with Sikkens paint. Fuselage mated to new center section and new outer wing panels. New landing gear installed with new gear doors. New F102 wheels and brakes. New tail wheel and solid tire. All new bearings and braces – all hydraulic cylinders fitted with new poly pak seals. New windscreen and new canopy fitted. All instruments are yellow tagged zero time. New wing tips fitted with strobe system installed. New battery, new reverse current relay, extra voltage regulation installed, six bottle oxygen system installed, new oil tank fabricated 30 gal normal capacity, fuel cells replaced with ballistic nylon. Urethane cells, new fuel quantity and Shaddin fuel computer installed. New drop tanks fitted and painted. Oil cooler yellow tagged, new oil regulator and surge valve, new hoses and fittings, automatic oil temp regulator and new oil door actuator installed. 11 lb. Halon fire system installed in engine – accessory section.

New STEC 3 Axis auto pilot installed new Skyraider master brake cylinders fitted to rudder pedals. Alameda overhauled propeller, painted new Sanders Fury Spinner, after body fabricated to match. Installed Navy overhauled Alameda R-3350 26 WD engine with new Larry Burton Engine mount gusseted and normalized, installed 8 ea. New lord engine mount assemblies complete with heat shields and cold air was system. Installed new long cell doors and actuating system. Installed fuel and oil shut-off electric valves. Installed all new Teleflex control cables. Work performed by George Baker.
