Miscellaneous
This aircraft was converted to Monarch Executive A-26 in 1960. Extensive updates and STC modifications were done by Rock Island Oil to make it a fast and comfortable aircraft before the days of early corporate turbine. The long Monarch nose has been removed and military hard/gun nose has been installed.
After a ground accident the aircraft spent several years undergoing restoration by a squadron of the Commemorative Air Force. Just as the work was completed it was determined that the squadron would not be able to support the aircraft as intended. At that point the aircraft was returned to the CAF Headquarters in Dallas and now is offered for sale exclusively by Courtesy Aircraft.
