N821DS NORTH AMERICAN AT-6G Courtesy Aircraft Sales $350,000 Call (815) 229-5112, or Email Us Below: (815) 229-5112 Contact Us Description Standard Certified650 Hours Since Ground-Up and Professional Restoration Airframe 10,289 Hours TTSNEW Engine(s) Pratt & Whitney R-1340-AN-1562 Hours SMOH by Covington Aircraft, 60 hours since IRAN Avionics Garmin GTN 650 GPS/NAV/COMMGarmin GI-106A CDI- both cockpitsApollo SL-40 CommGarmin GTX-345 ADSB in/out TransponderEncoderKing KMA-24H Audio Panel/IntercomELT Propeller(s) Hamilton Standard 12D40 with 6101-12A Blades60 Hours SMOH by Maxwell Propeller         HISTORY & RESTORATION      This aircraft was manufactured for the United States Air Force by the North American Aviation Co. and was accepted by the USAF June 10, 1952.  It was utilized by the USAF at Columbus Mississippi with the 3301st Primary Training Squadron until replaced by other types in 1955.  It was then placed in storage until late 1956 when it was offset under the provisions of the Mutual Defense Assistance Program’s Grant Aid for the Uruguayan Air Force (Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya) where it served until 1991.  Its last flight was on July 24, 1986.  This aircraft was purchased with two others in 1994 and transported to Ontario Canada.     The entire aircraft has been dissembled inspected and repaired as necessary.      All hardware, cables, pulleys, seals and bearings are new.  Fuselage and wings are re-skinned as required. All wiring is new, and each individual wire is stamped with the correct numbers as per the manufacture’s original wiring drawings. All the glass was replaced with new. Instruments overhauled or replaced as required.   All “AC” hydraulic fittings are replaced with “AN” All gear and hydraulic components overhauled.     Engine overhauled by Covington with new pistons, low time heavy web cylinders and shot-peened connecting rods. Magnetos, generator, hydraulic pump, fuel pump, prop governor, carburetor, oil cooler and aux fuel bladders overhauled. T-2B trainers were used by the Naval Air Training Command to conduct basic jet flight training for future Navy and Marine Corps aviators. The trainer established an outstanding record of safety and reliability while providing training for more than 11,000 students to pilot 18 different models of Navy jet aircraft. Buckeyes also were produced by Venezuela (T-21) and Greece (T-2E). The two-place high performance Buckeye was used for a wide variety of pilot training, from the student’s first jet flight to fully qualified flight. The aircraft was used for teaching a wide range of skills, including high-altitude, high-speed formation and aerobatic flights; basic and radio instruments; night and day navigation; and gunnery, bombing, and carrier operations.
